JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all facets of planning and scheduling. Demand planning future requirements for company demands. Overseeing and analyzing excess and obsolete inventory, as well as monitoring inventory turns for all inventory locations. Responsible for coordination of shop support needs with engineering, applications, marketing, procurement and supply chain departments.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact with marketing, engineering, applications and manufacturing to develop and carry out production schedules.
Interface/ communicate with all departments to ensure that clear direction and appropriate documentation is available to support shop production plans.
Interface/ communicate with all departments to ensure accurate material levels allowing the demands of the production schedules to be met.
Generate, review, manage and communicate information from reports to expedite upcoming or late demands.
Coordinate with applicable departments to ensure quality product and productivity meets the demands.
Comply with and participate in company quality and safety programs and initiatives.
Manage the processes of expediting quality parts in a timely and cost effective manner.
Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 3- 5 Planners, Inventory Control, and cycle count carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
APICS Certification preferred; 4-year degree in supply chain preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, engineering drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of word processing software, excellent spreadsheet software skills, E-Mail messaging, and manufacturing/inventory software.
