Onin Staffing is currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector for a large manufacturer here in McAllen, TX.
The Quality Control Inspector will inspect the quality of all products including, weight, dimensional, chemical composition, sampling, physical inspections and tests, during receiving, production and final stages, and keep corresponding records of such inspections. Specific job duties of the Quality Control Inspector include (but are not limited to):
1- Perform quality control throughout the production departments including fabrication, casting, welding, finishing and packaging activities.
2- Inspect product as required in the corresponding job orders
3- Perform chemical analyses during production using optical emission spectrometer as required in the job order. Request composition adjustments as required and authorize every heat before it is cast.
4- Inspect received materials and control those that are identified as customer's product.
5- Keep record of inspections in the quality control data base.
6- Supervise the stamping, tagging and labeling of the following:
a. Rejected material
b. Accepted material
c. Customer supplied product
d. Label any product or equipment according to ISO 9001:2000 standards
e. Heat numbers and other project specific markings as required in the job orders.
7- Report to Production Supervisor any requirement related to quality or prevention of possible quality deficiency.
8- Communicate daily all critical information to the other Inspectors during the overlap time when changing shifts and thru written messages.
9- Attend Company meetings and participate in them with the purpose of learning, implementing, suggesting, reporting, and improving activities, processes and results.
10- Report any problem out of your control to the Quality Control Coordinator.
11- Be polite and pleasant to all employees, co-workers, customers and suppliers.
Qualified candidates for this position possess the following:
1- HS Diploma or GED
2- Good communications skills
3- Bilingual skills (English / Spanish)
4- Computer literate
5- Experience with numbers and measuring instruments
