Function:
To manage the home delivery teams in delivery of furniture, mattresses and accessories to our customers in the Rio Grande Valley (McAllen & Brownsville).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and responsible for all associate disciplinary counseling
- Mold the environment that the team works in which supports the company's values and standards
- Coach and counsel associates as appropriate to meet individual and company KPM's
- Lead training program in safety and proper delivery methods
- Insure all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Route delivery stops
- Fill in on delivery truck during drivers and helper's days off and makes deliveries.
- Interact with stores to insure we meet the customer's delivery expectations.
- Assign drive teams daily routes
- Resolve customer service issues with deliveries
- Accurate reconciliation of the day's deliveries
- Perform "Ride Along" evaluations of drivers and helpers
- Resolution of home delivery damage claims
Requirements:
- Two years of supervisory experience preferably in home delivery.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers towards the resolution of their delivery issues.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights and weekends.
