A local transportation company is seeking a reliable Dispatch with experience on the transportation environment, willing to create trucking routes, that keep costs down and meet customers scheduling needs.
The successful candidate for this position needs to be able to coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective efficiency, also to work with drivers and meet the on-time loads deliveries.
The candidate shall have knowledge and experience to manage DAT, Truck Stop load systems, also Have knowledge an experience to manage ITS, GEOTAB and Excel systems
Dispatcher Responsibilities;
Experience to negotiate rates directly with customers and brokers as well to obtain the best rates on loads under a negotiation process.
Responsible to coordinate a complete fleet of 15 trucks and trailers, that includes schedule drivers to pick up and deliver loads to customers or vendors.
Develop and plan delivery routes, to avoid costs due to a weather conditions or different routes used.
Cultivate strong relationship with drivers maintaining good communication in a daily basis, tracking trip performance and providing full support when drivers are over the road.
Establish a good relationship with customers and brokers as well maintaining a good communication for all loads in progress informing loads tracking and time deliveries.
Responsible to maintain the ITS data base up to day login loads in a daily basis
Responsible to receive and keep records of drivers such as: BOLS, expenses receipts, violations and driving logs as required.
Responsible to prepare and submit operational reports to management
Responsible to monitors equipment availability such as trucks and trailers
Good written and verbal communicator. bilingual preferred.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays, be punctual as required by management
