Description
Desktop Support Technicians with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format will find a great opportunity at Robert Half. This Desktop Support Technician role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary opportunity, is located in the Mckinney, Texas, area.
What you get to do every day
- Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
- Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Requirements
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- Cognos experience preferred
- Foundational knowledge in Knowledge Base
- Cognos experience desired
- Deep understanding of Ticketing System
- Customer Support experience highly desired
- Proven knowledge of Application Support
- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
