Job Description: Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking a Mission Analysis Modeling & Simulation lead engineer to support Operations Analysis and Virtual Simulation across the RI&S portfolio of leading edge, high-tech mission systems. Looking for creative and highly motivated people to develop computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects of RI&S products in complex threat environments. These models will generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, create technology roadmaps, develop requirements, and specify or demonstrate the operational benefits of advanced concepts in complex operational scenarios. Candidate will development 3-Dimensional visualizations of virtual and/or analytic simulations, execute analysis plans, and generate work products that inform system development or new business initiatives. Required Skills: 8 years’ experience in systems engineering with an interest or proficiency in 3-Dimensional geometry and modern imaging/visualization principles. Ability to work closely with other OA staff to create 3D Visualizations Thorough grasp of OS fundamentals (Scheduling, Shared Mem, Multi-Threaded, etc.) Experience developing with natively compiled languages (C, etc). Object-oriented programming/ design (OOP/OOD) Proficient using and developing software on Windows and Linux Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills U.S. Citizenship status is required Requires a current secret clearance day one of employmentDesired Skills: Top Secret Clearance Ability to integrate distributed Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulation components that are comprised of custom simulation software, COTS, hardware, firmware, and software/hardware/human-in-the-loop Proficiency in computer network fundamentals and socket programming Proficiency or experience with installing and using variety of O/S’s on a variety of targets, including virtualization. (Windows, Linux, Vmware, Arduino, Raspberry Pi) Experience with scientific computing environments such as (MATLAB, Simulink, STK) Familiarity with configuration management (GIT, subversion). Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl or Python Familiarity with gaming engines and/or technologies (Unreal / Unity / OpenGL / 3D modeling) Familiarity with image processing (OpenCV) Familiarity with IEEE 1278 DIS, IEEE 1516 HLA, and/or TENA Familiarity with radar, electro optical (EO), and infrared (IR) sensing systems Possess a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness Required Education: BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Math and Science (but accompanied by a software development background).
