Midwestern Services, Inc., in Snyder, TX is currently looking for an EXPERIENCED ADP Payroll Coordinator/Accounting Clerk.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preparation and disbursement of weekly payroll in a multi-state environment using ADP Pay Expert Internet Payroll Service and ADP time and attendance systems. The Coordinator will also administer and enroll partners, associates and staff in the Company Selected: Simple IRA, as well as updating IRA data to plan website, maintaining forms, presentations and summary plan descriptions. Supports the Controller/Manager of Finance, and the Manager of Human Resources in administering base pay and bonus programs.
Essential Job Functions:
ï§ Works closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related issues.
ï§ Ensure weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
ï§ Check non-exempt personnel time sheets for compliance with policy, state and regulatory requirements.
ï§ Reviews computed wages and corrects errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. Ensure that all changes to payroll are processed correctly.
ï§ Taxable fringe benefits administration i.e., group health insurance and HSA reporting.
ï§ Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual check log and reconciliation of payroll account
ï§ Works closely with Benefits Manager to ensure accurate benefit deductions and record keeping.
ï§ Administer the Simple IRA plan by assisting with employee questions and concerns and ensuring accurate and timely contributions are made to the Simple IRA,
ï§ Annual financial and actuarial information reporting and compilation of data specs.
ï§ Unemployment claims administration, responding to claims filed, EDD court appearance(s) in response to contest claims.
ï§ Review and audit master file and pay data entries, YTD totals, and file amendments.
ï§ Prepare various payroll and management reports, journal entries, workers compensation and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes.
ï§ Prepare all year-end tax reports.
ï§ Will handle all garnishments, deductions, and vacation/sick accruals.
ï§ Answers inquiries regarding employment verification. Reconciles payroll bank statements and reviews the accuracy of payroll deductions to payroll output documents.
ï§ Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters.
ï§ Process manual checks as requested by Human Resources or Accounting.
ï§ Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
ï§ Perform other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Education, Experience and Skills:
ï§ AA in Business, Accounting OR equivalent work experience
ï§ 5-8 years of experience in ADP Payroll & Reporting & General Accounting
ï§ Advanced computer skills; must be PROFICIENT in MS Office (ADVANCED Excel Skills are REQUIRED)
ï§ Typing and accuracy of 50-60 wpm
ï§ Excellent time management skills
ï§ Ability to listen & effectively communicate (written and verbal)
ï§ Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
