DescriptionWARRANTY ADVISORThe Warranty Advisor is responsible for the day-to-day warranty administration support for designated locations within Equipment Depot identified by Warranty Administration Supervisor. Works with our Technicians and Service Mangers so warranty claims provide all necessary informationneeded to ensure highest vendor warranty dollars received. Highly organized individual possessing good communications and customer skills. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions Statement(s) Works with his/her Warranty Administration Supervisor to develop and implement short- and long-term strategic plans, objectives and goals, along with a plan of action about how to achieve them. Works in close alignment with location service management and technicians and develops and maintains open communication with these individuals. Ensures all vendor warranty claims filed within vendor time requirements. Reviews location submitted warranty works orders to ensure all necessary information is provided and contacts appropriate individuals when additional info needed. Gathers technical information/advice to assist in warranty claim filing from Warranty Administration Supervisor or Technical Communicators as necessary. Processes warranty credits. Discuss denied claims with vendors as necessary. Process warranty invoices after warranty claims filed. Work with Warranty Administration Supervisor to notify vendors of company labor rate changes. Works with Service Managers to increase tech level of quality information received on work orders Prepares reports when requested as it relates to warranty and recommends procedures to Warranty Administration Supervisor that would increase money received by vendors. Investigates denied claims by vendors and works with Warranty Administration Supervisor to recover from vendors. Assists team in gathering info/advice to assist in warranty claim filing Works with his/her Warranty Administration Supervisor to identify trends within the organization or business environment and develop plans to address.RequirementsSKILLS AND ABILITIES Good communication skills. Proven problem solving ability Ability to prioritize and manage time sensitive deadlines. Basic degree of technical knowledge of industrial equipment.
