Job Description:

An H2S Safety Technician's main role is to ensure that crews working in and around oil platforms are provided with the necessary services and equipment to work safely where the threat of hazardous gases could be present. They install breathing air and gas detection systems, provide lease control and training to production, drilling and service personnel on emergency response procedures. On the job field training is provided after an initial 5 day classroom training is completed.

Qualifications:

Must be available to work long hours (7-14) in the outdoor elements (snow, sleet, rain, heat, etc.)

Must be able to work unsupervised for long periods of time while also being a team player with the crews on site.

Must be able to problem solve, including identifying, assessing, and correcting problems.

Must be able to keep accurate documentation.

Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written).

Strong Interpersonal skills; must be a team player with an ability to work together with crews while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Must follow all safety practices, understanding and applying company and client policies and procedures; industry practices & fundamental OSHA regulation.

Must live within one hour of Midland, TX

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Oil & Gas background is preferred but if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn we are willing to help get your safety career started

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Must have a clean driving record.

Must be comfortable driving on rough/poor roads (company vehicle).

Must be able to pass a physical/fit test, pre-employment drug screen, alcohol test, and a background check; background must be clear for seven (7) years from the date of completion.

This is a full-time position with benefits (vacation, medical, dental, vision, short term, long term, AD&D, 401k). Starting rate for this position will range between $17 and $25 per hour based on experience level
