The Boeing Company is hiring experienced systems engineers to design, develop, implement, integrate, test, and verify aircraft network systems for commercial aircraft. The selected candidate will have experience developing networked avionics systems on commercial aircraft that meet FAA certification requirements contained in DO-178B and DO-254, and an educational background in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or similar. Day-to-day responsibilities will vary based on the candidates background and interests, but may include defining and decomposing system requirements, architecting systems using MBSE tools, designing systems using mechanical and electrical design tools, performing technical business case analysis and trade studies, developing physical and functional interfaces, integrating/testing systems in a virtual or lab environment, and developing verification and certification artifacts. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required): Must have a bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Must have experience with systems architecture, requirements development and test & verification. Must have experience with network systems Must have experience do you have developing or integrating avionics or mission systems Must have experience with DO-254 avionics compliance standards Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
