Role: Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer
Location: Plano, TX

Description:

• The Senior AWS Cloud Security Engineer is a hands-on technical resource with strong communications skills and 10+ years of industry experience, will be responsible for collaborating with the principal security architect in designing, delivering, integrating and supporting native and 3rd party security solutions in Amazon Web Services stack based on industry Cloud security standards and client common security framework for governance and control practices.
• The security resource is expected to be an individual contributor, self-motivated and a team player with the willingness to not only learn but, also share expertise with team members and clients on assigned projects and relevant tasks.

Experience:

• Certifications: AWS Professional with Security domain
• Hands on implementation and operational experience with native AWS security tools
• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Secrets manager
• CloudHSM
• Key Management Services (KMS)
• CloudTrail
• CloudWatch
• Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Experience with 3rd party vulnerability management tools is a plus.
• Conceptual and operational understanding of 3rd party secrets management tools is a plus.
• Infrastructure automation via Terraform is a plus
• Application build/deployment via bash shell and python is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) review, assess and develop security and DevSecOps processes and procedures conforming to industry best practices and Client's cloud security standards
• Respond to and Partner with infrastructure and application teams for remediation of security vulnerabilities and compliance objectives
• Review and assess the current supported tools, apps, and processes to determine gaps for meeting the needs of the stakeholders.
• Design and implement changes to existing security tools, applications and processes based on changes in scope or needs.
• Assess Client's technology program infrastructure and application landscape and develop/modify hardened AMI's
• Develop custom and hardened infrastructure automation Terraform scripts for individual business and application teams
• Work directly with internal infrastructure teams to align and execute infrastructure changes to support the tools, apps, and processes.
• Create relevant documentation for operations, maintenance, and integration with security tools.
