Senior Manager Omni - Domestic TransportationLocation:Plano, TX, United States-Job ID:1092529Corporate PositionsSupply ChainJob Type:Full-TimeDate Updated:Nov 23, 2020Senior Manager Omni - Domestic TransportationWorking under general supervision and located at the JCPenney office in Plano, TX, theSenior Manager Omniis responsible for managing a team of associates in the development and implementation of the strategic vison for the Omni network. The position will be a key member of the Transportation leadership team and partners closely with external transportation providers, business owners and JCP supply chain. The principal business outcome of this position is to meet JCPenney’s Omni customer’s service requirements through a reliable network while achieving a cost-effective solution for JCP business owners.Primary Responsibilities:Play a key role in improving customer satisfaction for JCPenney’s Omni customers.
Responsible for cost effective budgetary spend in excess of 80M.
Responsible for managing the business relationship / operations performance with parcel carriers.
Lead the identification, scoping, and implementation of cost / service improvements.
Direct the development of Omni transportation strategies, policies, and programs.
Monitor, report, and improve KPI’s across the Parcel transportation network.

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:7 - 10 years’ work experience with a preference in Transportation or Supply Chain, or in a related role.
Proven success in managing a large parcel network in the retail or related industry.
Direct responsibility managing external transportation providers.
Prior experience managing a team of associates.
Hold a degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, or in a related field.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage a headquarters team and a remote team.
Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process improvements.
Ability to dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions.
Collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment.
Continuous improvement mind set, including the ability to innovate and simplify legacy processes.
Ability to manage numerous business functions simultaneously and ensure compliance to company policies and financial guidelines.
