Project Description:Our Customer is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Senior Technical Product Manager, EV & Digital Services for our Digital Electrification Product Group.
The Senior Technical Product Manager, is responsible for defining, executing, and owning the product strategy and product lifecycle tasks for a portfolio of products and delivering against a strategic product roadmap.

• Lead current and new business ideas focused on our electrified portfolio of vehicles • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities and prioritize based on enterprise or customer value while considering vehicle, cloud, and business dependencies • Obtain a clear understanding of the electric vehicle market and infrastructure specifically geared towards Vehicle to Grid applications (such as bi-directional charging) and Plug & Charge (ISO 15118). • Technical ability to understand the desired interaction between vehicle hardware & software that is necessary to meet our 2030 EV roadmap. • Provide technical guidance, direction, judgement or decision(s) for programs and projects • Directly interface with vehicle & cloud engineers to scope/define vehicle to cloud based architecture & estimate work efforts & milestones • Develop business cases that support revenue driving products/concepts specific to Toyota's grid/utility partnerships; Prepare materials to support capital recommendations for internal key stakeholders, including senior executive leadership team members • Lead development of products and assume responsibility for the product's success and enhancements after launch; Create operational plans to launch products on time and within budget. • Review and maintain current information on competitive companies' products, and industry trends, and conduct customer research assisting in the creation of strategic planning documents. • Determine key data sets and information needed to scope projects to deliver the desired customer experience.
Mandatory Skills Description:• Proven work experience in product management, strategy, consulting, engineering, or other relevant disciplines with emphasis on bringing a technical/engineering mindset • Proactive, strong communication skills to drive consensus and communicate with cross-functional team of leaders • Focused desire to identify and build technology products and services that customers enjoy. • A proactive, motivated individual who can self-manage and execute once given strategic direction. • Experience conducting market research and validating customer needs. • An entrepreneurial mindset, not afraid to ask questions, make decisions, or take on new assignments. • Ability to manage a wide variety of projects across multiple brands, business units, and/or technology platforms.
Nice-to-Have Skills:• Master's in engineering or Business Administration • Experience working in functional areas such telematics, product management, digital transformation, and emerging technologies and/or relevant industries such as automotive, consulting, or technology. • Knowledge of both agile software development frameworks and hardware waterfall mythology • Strong relationship building skills; Demonstrated ability to facilitate and achieve cohesion and among many different individuals and functions. • Ability to easily break down complex, ambiguous problems and propose novel solutions. • Proficiency in creating or understanding business models (profit and loss, discounted cash flows, relevant key performance indicators). • A keen understanding of how the electric grid interacts with Charge Point Operators/EVSEs and the emerging Demand Energy Response environment.
