You will:
Work with a high-performing agile team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across development tools and technologies
Provide technical leadership on mentoring engineers to make smart technology decisions
Building and maintaining production systems on AWS using ALB, ELB, WAF’s, S3, Terraform, Serverless, API’s, etc. and familiarity interacting with the AWS APIs and tools.
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization
Possess a strong sense of engineering quality and takes pride in the code they’re responsible for while defining best practices as our teams abide by a You Build It You Own It attitude
Focus on the efficient use of CI/CD processes and tools for AWS cloud migration with special attention to characteristics like reuse, scalability, resilience and performance of migration solutions
Troubleshooting problems, involving the appropriate resources and driving resolution of issues with a focus on minimizing impact to our customers.
Responsible for the day to day operations of Capital One's public cloud hosted infrastructure (OS + WAF + Network + Security + Monitoring)
Support Capital One shared perimeter environments (ensuring system availability, performance, capacity, and continuity through proper response to incidents, events and problems).
Leverage deep expertise to plan and lead the deployment of cloud solutions into production environments
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
At least 3 years of experience with AWS
At least 3 years of experience with scripting languages (Python or Perl)
At least 3 years of experience in DevOps
At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD
At least 3 years of experience with GitHub, Artifactory, or Jenkins
At least 3 years of experience designing, developing and delivering cloud-native applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
At least 5+ years of large-scale infrastructure designs, implementation and support of critical systems
At least 3+ years of experience with Python or Java in a software engineering environment
At least 3+ years experience with performance tuning and monitoring tools
At least 2+ years of experience building infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible or Chef
At least 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix).
Strong understanding of networking in the cloud with debugging experience
At least 2+ years experience with Cloud Security Services (AWS Macie, or AWS Guard Duty, or AWS Config )
At least 2+ years of experience with CDN (Akamai, Cloudfront, or Fastly)
At least 3+ years of experience within an Agile team roles
