Claims Service Specialist - Richardson, TX

Salary: $18.86 per hour

4-Year Degree Salary: $20.35 per hour

To ensure our associates receive the training and support needed to excel and thrive, associates hired for this position are generally required to work at the GEICO building during their orientation period. We're looking for Claims Service Specialists for our Richardson, TX office who are compassionate, solution-oriented, and have a passion for customer service. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers after they experience an accident, reviewing policy contracts, and collecting statements from involved parties about the incident. Our policyholders will count on your patience and attention to detail to collect facts about the accident in order to determine which party was at fault. You will also negotiate with other insurance adjusters and attorneys to settle claims and ensure our policyholders get back on the road as quickly as possible. No two days or claims are alike, and our Claims Service Specialists rise to the challenge and always provide excellent customer service. You'll have the support and guidance of your team and supervisor, not only as you learn the ropes, but also as you continue to grow in your role.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Outstanding customer service skills and/or experience
  • Solid computer, grammar and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, high-volume call center
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, college degree or currently pursuing preferred
