Role: Job Title: Systems Engineer/ Administrator (Red Hat / Vmware)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO and Richardson, TX

Type: Contract

Description
Systems Engineer / Administrator to provide support of complex systems running Red Hat Linux using, Ansible and VMware. 10+ year’s progressive, technical, job-related experience. Expertise on Red Hat Satellite 6, Puppet, Red Hat Linux Clusteringwould also increase value. Systems Engineer/Administrator must be able to function with limited direction and guidance and be able to diagnose a wide variety of problems. Must possess excellent customer relation and communication skills. Must be able to accurately assess problems and if necessary communicate the problem information to peers, support groups, management and HW/OS vendors. Must be able to work in a team environment, demonstrate leadership skills, and follow established business processes and procedures, and fulfill tasks and responsibilities requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Day to day system administration
- Problem (break/fix) remediation
- Security management
- Change auditing, file cleanup, performance monitoring, patch installation and security related remediation’s using Linux scripting.
- System Architecture/Design Reviews and provide feedback

Top 3 requirements:
1) In-depth operating system knowledge
2) Problem Remediation
3) Security Management (Research, analysis and planning from an OS perspective)

Required Skills:
1) In-depth Red Hat Linux, Ansible
2) VMware to include VMware administration
3) Security Management as it pertains to RedHat Linux operating systems

Desired Skills:
1) Red Hat Satellite 6 and Puppet
2) Red Hat Linux Clustering
3) Knowledge on an additional operating systems and/or Scripting (Bash, Python)

Additional Job Information:
- Work Schedule – 8am – 5pm – Provide any out of normal work week schedule as needed.
- Work Locations: Colorado Springs, COor Richardson, TX

- Design, implement and support Ansible Tower environment
- Day to day system administration

2) Red Hat Satellite 6 - Implementation and support, system builds patching using Ansible and Puppet.
3) Ansible Tower – Design, architecture, implementation and support of Ansible Tower.
4) Security Management as it pertains to RedHat Linux operating systems and Ansible Tower environment.
