If you're an IT Professional looking for a new opportunity, Emerson has a great role for you! Based in any of our main US locations, you will be responsible for carrying out production support for the Global Oracle ERP Instance for Emerson Automation Solutions. This role requires Support experience and a detailed understanding of Oracle Applications.

As a Business Analyst - Supply Chain Management You will:

Define future business processes around Oracle Manufacturing & Supply Chain modules.

    • Give functional support for more than 25K users of Oracle EBS R12 instance
    • Work on assigned tickets to meet the agreed SLAs
    • Identify corrupt/orphan transaction records and deploy Datafixes to maintain data integrity
    • Coordinate solution with Technical Analysts whenever custom components is involved (Forms/Reports/PLSQL)
    • Work with Oracle Technical Support on SR resolution
    • Adhere to Change Management processes whenever a new setup change needs to be introduced in the Oracle Instance
    • Create functional requirements specification documents whenever a new change needs to be introduced in the instance
    • Testing solutions/patches/Datafixes provided by Oracle before moving those to the Production environment
    • Develop training material and application documentation as required
    • Educate business users
  • Ability to travel globally 10-20%

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
BS/BA degree
Proficient in English

Ability to travel globally
3 - 5 years experience with Oracle ERP, at least 4+ years of experience with Oracle R12 E-Business Suite in a Global Manufacturing environment.
Legal authorization to work in the US.

Emerson experience preferred

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Implementation experience and detailed understanding of the following Oracle Applications Modules in Release R12: OM, Inv, PO, Adv Prcg, Confg, iProc, Pur Intl, OIC, i-Sup
  • Ability to work in a demanding user environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 Configurations/Setups: functional module setups, profile options, flex-fields, functional module interfaces.
  • Ability to use analytical techniques to resolve issues and communicate with users on resolving technical issues related to the business solutions in place.
  • Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate functional material to end users and management
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and some extended hours during month-end or year-end to support the business users.
  • Experience with gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications
  • Experience with full Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Proven history of successful problem solving with a sense of urgency
