We can’t wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Senior UX/Product Design Manager on our UX Design team in Round Rock, Texas.As a Design Leader you will teach, recruit, and build a design culture. The primary role of the Product Designer is to be an advocate for users, understand user needs & goals, by conducting user research; & to create designs that meet user needs. A significant part of the role is communication. Product designers consistently communicate user pain points & design iterations to the Product Managers, Developers & Business stakeholders. Throughout the development process, the product designer constantly tests the design & working software & iterates on the design.Key Responsibilities

Proficient in leading design discipline's effort on a project.

Contributes to core practice discussions as a seasoned practitioner.

Aware of the experience level of their peers and takes action to help others at the project/office level succeed.

Is able to set up a project for success by defining success criteria. Knows how to drive delivery and enablement and understands their differences.

The expectation in the role is to provide mentoring guidance and direct management support to junior staff.

Considers the holistic user experience, potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends) and product overlap in their own and others' work.

Creates own tools and processes for representing and advocating user experience.

Can articulate and add to the product design methodology.

Facilitation of 1:1s with concise agenda and constructive feedback for teams.

Continually seeking personal and professional growth as a leader and practitioner.

Manages team dynamics and conflict resolution.

Drives design culture and mentorship opportunities.

Skills

Capable of collaboratively explores multiple concepts and validates which works best with users.

Consistently shares work with users and team and incorporates feedback into work.

Knows how to manage scope and can provide a defendable rationale to stakeholders and the team; uses user insights to assist in determining scope.

Embraces and extends established systems.

Can design individual components and screens following existing visual language.

Is able to balance informational and visual functions of design.

Provides adequate design direction.

Communicates well to a non-design audience.

Skilled in learning new design methodologies and embracing engineering methodologies in a standardized fashion.

Can build and implement design patterns and language systems.

Education and Experience

Typically 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Typically requires 4+ years managerial/leadership experience
