Full-time Groundskeeper
$12.00 - $13.00/hour DOE
Rio Concho Retirement Community is seeking a full-time groundskeeper. Rio Concho is a locally owned non-profit senior housing community. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes company-paid health and life insurance, sick and vacation pay, and retirement funding.
Primary duty is to maintain the landscaping and grounds of the Rio Concho Downtown Campus and to operate and maintain the various tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming, weed control, fertilizing, leaf and debris removal, shrub and minor tree pruning, rain gutter cleaning, planting, and performing minor irrigation system repairs. May also assist maintenance staff as needed on a variety of other maintenance tasks. Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (1-hour lunch). May work some overtime as needed.
High School diploma or GED required. Skilled in operating and maintaining tools and equipment used in grounds maintenance work. Two years of experience in performing grounds maintenance. Ability to perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time and work in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds unassisted. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions. A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. Applicants must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
