We are recruiting for an experienced Network Architect with AWS expertise to support a DoD program for IT modernization. Qualified candidates will have experience in a DoD environment focused on AWS Cloud. This position is customer-facing.
Location note: Relocation support to San Antonio will be considered; remote work may be considered from most U.S. locations
Duties and responsibilities include:
Work in a client-facing role to review network architecture and plan for network connectivity to AWS cloud
Provide high-level network architecture knowledge to managers and technical staff
Develop solutions to technical problems and oversee development of the project concept, design, and documentation
Prepare project specifications to create a high level and detailed network to support enterprise for current and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
Provide reviews for work in progress and quality assurance for current network
Develop architectural products and deliverables for IT enterprise and business areas supported
Provide thought leadership to support customers current and future planning related to cloud technology
Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies to provide input and knowledge about trends to support future direction and planning
Support future travel, if required (after COVID-19 restrictions)
Requirements include:
U.S. citizenship
Current security clearance (minimum Secret); TS preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred; will consider related experience in lieu of a degree
10+ years of experience delivering network and cloud architecture for a DoD environment
Experience designing and implementing information architecture solutions on cloud hosted platforms
Expertise with AWS
Experience providing lead/SME level input and providing knowledge and guidance to support customer's current and future cloud plans
Expertise with cross-functional requirements and interfaces for hardware, software, and communications
Effective written and verbal communication skills to succeed in a blended government and contractor team with technical and non-technical staff
Interest in ongoing research and staying abreast of future direction and trends for cloud technologies
Ability to support future travel, if requested
