Seeking a Diet Clerk to join our team preparing dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients.What you will do in this role:
Examines diet orders and menus received from hospital units and prepares tallies of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.
Processes new diets and changes as required. Generates and edits tray tickets, assembles tray ticket packets, and enters data into computer.
Modifies diets following standards established by Dietitian.
Answers telephone calls and relays information concerning meal changes, complaints, or patient discharge to Supervisor or Dietitian.
Prepares and delivers formula and special nourishments to unit pantries.
Works trayline/tray accuracy as required for timely and accurate patient service.Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by course work in nutrition.
What qualifications you will need:
2 years of experience in food service operations.
Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Computer experience preferred.
