Possesses knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards and regulations.What you will do in this position:
Examines diet orders and menus received from patients and prepare a tally of specific foods to be prepared in the kitchen.
Understands modified diets, resources for non-typical modified diets, tube feeding/baby formula diet order handling and preparation.
Interacts with patient and caregivers, providing optimum service without compromising dietary restrictions and production demands.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of the importance of time sensitive aspects of patient, physician and customer meal service.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of HACCP regulation regarding proper sanitation in washing hands, changing gloves and use of sanitized water.
Setups and cleans physician lounge related to food and nutrition services.Education:
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Work Experience
What qualifications you will need:
Hospital Food Service or Customer Service Experience required
Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
