IT Project/Program Manager Lead needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Antonio, TX

Leads and motivates cross-functional team members in the development and implementation of key initiatives. Performs complex and unique work assignments and problem resolution. Initiates and proactively manages the development of new or developing program. Shapes and supports program planning activities around a wide range of technology, business and management challenges.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leads and motivates cross-functional team members in the development and implementation of key initiatives.
  • Performs complex and unique work assignments and problem resolution.
  • Initiates and proactively manages the development of new or developing program.
  • Shapes and supports program planning activities around a wide range of technology, business and management challenges.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
  • 6 + years of experience handling multiple cross-functional enterprise-level projects simultaneously and/or major programs.
  • Extensive experience leading complex projects with significant number of deliverables including information technology and dependencies across organization.
  • Experience on project and program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with recognized program and/or project methodologies (Agile).
  • Working within defined scope and budgets with aggressive timelines.
  • Experience facilitating.
  • Proven ability to handle / resolve conflict.
  • Ability to manage frequent change.
  • Project administration.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • MS Office experienced user.
  • Experience building project schedules.
  • Domain expertise in property and casualty insurance, banking, investments, financial planning, or life insurance/annuities.
  • Ability to identify and facilitate quick resolution of issues.
  • Experience forecasting project spend and schedule based on earned value.
  • Experience reporting project status to stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify and facilitate quick resolution of issues.
  • Experience leading large efforts or teams.
  • Formal leadership training.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Technology experience with Rally, PowerPoint, and MS Office

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
  • Manage collective projects and project managers to attain goals.
  • Familiarity with Artemis or other project management software.
  • Project Management Professional Designation.
  • Experience with industry software development methodologies.
  • Agile Project Management training.
