Our direct end client is looking for several Okta consultants for a migration project. This position is remote; however preference to anyone in the San Antonio area. Please submit resumes to: bconnelly@yorksolutions.etc.
Looking for several Okta resources to help create a separate Okta instance, outside of the one they already have. Need to have experience as an Okta Engineer as well as experience as an administrator. They will help stand up the separate instance then will maintain that instance once up and running. Some solution design experience would be helpful as well. Looking for candidates that are Okta certified. If we have trouble finding candidates that are certified then we will have to source candidates that re not certified, and work with client to get take the certification training and test. Important that the candidates have migration experience, not just new install experience. Also, candidates will need to have experience with:
1. Okta OAG = Okta Access Gateway
2. Okta Authorization Server (API)
Previous job description:
The manager stressed the migration aspect of this - said migrations are much more complex than new installs. Doesn't matter what system they're migrating from (a homegrown system in this case).
The role is 70% architecture and design, and 30% day to day operational/administrative tasks, if the resource has any type of automation scripting background, it would help limit the admin tasks in this job.
The 2 critical Okta tools for this role are Access Gateway and API Access Management, but will be using all 7 workforce identity products, SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, Lifecycle Management, Advanced Server Access.
Must have: Non-negotiables
1. Okta OAG = Okta Access Gateway
2. Okta Authorization Server (API)
3. Must work Central Time zone
4. Mulesoft a big plus
4. 3-5 years experience, no less
5. Must be willing to do both level 1-2 administrative work (do stuff) and higher level solution design and architecture work
6. Obvious must have working phone, and clear talking voice with good connection both voice and data.
Other requirements:
1. Understand difference between Workday mastered and AD mastered
2. Must know and have experience with federation, LCM, service provider
3. Must have done a Migration not just implementation experience. Such as migrating to OKTA from a competitive product to OKTA or other homegrown solution. Migration is different than a straight new implementation
4. Really like someone who knows how to automate basic administrative tasks, either using scripts or OKTAs automation engine, or some other method of automating general day to day tasks to free him/her up for participating in higher level solution design and architecture planning meetings.
5. OKTA API experience
6. Experience with ALL other products OKTA has.not just SSO experience. OKTA does a lot more than just single sign-on. I need someone who has done and worked with and designed OKTA solutions using ALL their other tools they offer too. Remember this is a greater than 100k person company and we will be building out a solution that leverages all of OKTAs product offerings.using SSO but not just SSO all their other stuff too. If all an applicant has is OKTA SSO experience then pass on them, its that simple.
7. Should ideally have a lot of experience with Workday, and heavy Active Directory experience.
8. Must be willing and able to spend entire work day on the phone in meeting after meetingafter meetingand more meetings, and yes even more meetings, and another meeting after that. Then maybe call it a day.
