Assist with the efficient operation of theOrganization’s retail stores. Support the organization in its mission to helpchange lives through the power of work.ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and implement work schedules, estimate team member-hour

requirements. Accountable for teammember coverage for retail sales area and merchandise processing.

Assign and coordinate work tasks of team members, participants, and

volunteers in processing, pricing, merchandising, and rotation functions toachieve daily production goals.

Provide on-the-job training; safety standard training and performance

expectations. Monitor and follow up onwork assignments for participants, volunteers and team members.

Recommend personnel action, such as promotions, transfers, and

disciplinary measures to management.

Provide input for evaluation of team members’ performance and appraisal.

Assist in opening and closing the retail store by following establishedprocedures according to the Retail Operations Manual.

Greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner. Meet and

make a connection with customers, asking questions and listening to shoppers'needs, then giving options and advice on meeting those needs.

Inspire the customer to buy, and

create a lasting positive impression of you, Goodwill Industries, and thepurchase.

Maintain selling floor

presentations, and restock them as needed.

Learn Goodwill’s systems and

procedures to enhance selling efficiencies and complete support duties.

Maintain a professional attitude

with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting Goodwill’s commitment to our customer– the most important person in our stores.

Maintain good housekeeping

standards.

Adhere to, and ensure adherence

to, all Loss Prevention and inventory control and compliance, risk management,and ethics policies and procedures. Safeguard donations and all Goodwillproperty and resources; secure from harm, theft, accidental loss, or disposal.Promptly investigate or participate for all reported incidents.

Ensure proper use of register, cash handling methods, and execution of

customer transactions according to retail business standards.

Provide a safe working environment and ensure team members work safely

and that unsafe conditions are immediately addressed and corrected. Conduct weekly huddle, safety inspections, investigatesaccidents, complete related reports in an accurate and timely basis, and takescorrective action to prevent recurrences. Take proactive steps in preventing accidents.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain regular, dependableattendance and punctuality.

Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and

responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, andfriendly manner. JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Associate’s degree in related field preferred.

6 months experience in a service-driven; supervisory role.

1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred.
