We invest in our team members, offering a wide variety of internal and external development opportunities.What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:This entry-level position assists in the service, repairs and installation associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment. The right candidate will work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity. This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead Technician.Responsibilities:Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.

Assist with or perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing.

Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site.  

Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.

Generate reports within Siemens digital tools.

Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site to include customer signature.

Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training.

Work overtime when needed.

Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:High school diploma or state-recognized GED.

No prior work experience is required.

Must be able to use hand tools, ladders, able to lift 50lbs, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.

Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.

Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Follow and maintain highly structured schedules.

Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.

  • The pay range per hour is $20.25 - $34.45

  • Support the on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems. You typically work under direct supervision and may work without supervision. You will follow detailed work instruction and escalate any discrepancies in customer requirements, blue prints, or work instructions. You will identify, escalate, and explore opportunities to improve the installation or repair procedures. You will escalate any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will support the training of the customer on proper usage for complex systems.
