Software Asset Management Analyst to be located in either San Antonio, TX or Findlay, OH. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. As a Contract Analyst on the IT Asset Management team, the person is involved in the management of software licensing, compliance, maintenance renewals, software audit defense, and software portal management life cycle planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and execute the contract renewal process, ensuring software contracts are reviewed and renewed/terminated in a timely manner.
  • Work with software vendors to acquire updated software quotes and agreements.
  • Ensure all changes to agreements and contracts are accurately reflected in the SAM tool.
  • Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
  • Manage the enterprise license position for software publishers.
  • Ensure compliance by comparing deployed software against license entitlements.
  • Manage requests from end-users to fulfill software-licensing needs and answer queries.
  • Monitor software usage to reduce risk of noncompliance.
  • Assist in the analysis, design, or re-design of SAM and compliance processes, software procurement processes, and license management processes (harvesting, deployment, and retiring of licenses).
  • Develop processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective manner.
  • Create/assist in the maintenance of document repositories for software contracts and purchases.
  • Measure improvements to SAM through meaningful metrics, KPIs, and QBRs.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Hands on experience with of Service Now platform and IT Service Management (ServiceNow, HP Asset Manager, Flexera, etc.).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, analytical skills.
  • Complete understanding of hardware & software lifecycle management.
  • High aptitude in documentation of processes, procedures, definitions, and work-flows.
  • Strong understanding of queue management, ticket routing and triage processes.
  • Understanding and interpretation of software licensing terms and conditions.
  • IAITAM, CHAMP certifications preferred (not required).
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
