Currently hiring a RESTAURANT CHEF!

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

Prepare food

Train and develop Sous Chefs and other kitchen staff

Oversee cooking processes and quality control

Develop menus and daily features

Provide experienced input in advertising and marketing decisions-social media knowledge necessary

Provide leadership and direction

QUALIFICATIONS:

Focus -Ability to prepare high quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Leadership skills - necessary to run a successful kitchen

Even temperament - ability to be calm and collected under pressure

Ability to train staff - must be a good educator and trainer. Responsible for developing new hires, including ability to teach kitchen staff how to use restaurant equipment properly. Must have professional disciplinary skills when needed to coach and counsel Sous Chefs and other kitchen staff

Eye for quality-Restaurant Chefs set the standard in a restaurant kitchen. Must be willing and able to do whatever is necessary to complete the job, which will in turn have a trickle down effect on the entire staff. Restaurant Chef must expect only the best food going out to the guests.

Attention to detail-must be detail oriented. Restaurant Chef writes features, contributes to changing menus, and reads and orders inventory correctly.

Computer skills-Restaurant Chef must have good computer skills. Must have proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, typing skills and an understanding of Word documents. Also, knowing how to use social media will enable you to be a valuable part of the marketing process for the restaurant.

Experience-Graduate of a reputable culinary school and/or 5+ years of BOH restaurant management experience (must have Sous Chef experience)

Shared philosophy-Restaurant Chef must have similar views as the owners as to their definition of "excellent guest service." Restaurant Chef must have high standards in guest service, and the experience in culinary excellence to back it up. Restaurant Chef must learn, understand and be on board with Dough's mission statement.
