Summary: Assists Mechanic with the installation, assembly, maintenance, unloading, moving and repair of equipment by performing the following duties. Responsible for furnishing and/or holding tools, materials, and supplies for other workers. Cleans work area, machines and tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follows assembly drawings, specifications, and instructions received from equipment manufacturers to assemble equipment or make repairs.

Loads and unloads equipment.

Transports inventory to specified location.

Stocks, pulls and unpacks inventory.

Performs maintenance on equipment and company vehicles when directed.

Keeps equipment repair area clean and organized so that tools and equipment are readily available.

Adjusts and sharpens equipment as needed.

Cleans equipment with steam cleaners or washes it prior to delivery or repair.

Paints equipment as needed, including touch-up painting.

Keeps company owned vehicles clean and reports any problems with the vehicles to the Service Manager.

Makes service calls when assigned by Service Manager.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer experience. The employee will be required to learn and use Keystone Industry Software.

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have forklift certification and a valid Texas Driver License.

Other Requirements:

Must supply your own hand tools and keep them in a tool chest that is in good condition.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
