Our Custodial Assistant Project Manager position is a management position working primarily 2nd and 3rd shift, that is responsible for directly supervising full-time custodians, housekeepers, part-time casual labor and contract employees. This manager, along with the Custodial Project Manager, works with the Even Management Department as well as other internal and external clients to meet all custodial needs (set-up, tear-down and cleaning) for events throughout the Alamodome.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Directly supervise event and post-event cleaning and conversions activity throughout the complex

• Supervise everyday cleaning as well as weekly, monthly and annual cleaning projects

• Learn and practice all aspects of the company's sustainability policies and procedures

• Assist with project management, inventory of supplies and general maintenance of custodial equipment

• Conduct regular building inspections to create a list of cleaning projects

• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and recommended product that needs to be ordered

• Directly supervise full-time, part-time and contract labor

• Conduct pre-shift meetings each day

• Follow up on tasks assigned to staff and coach staff as needed

• Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Managers, Operations and other building management.

Formal Education and Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Some Post-Secondary education is a plus

Knowledge and Experience

• 2+ years of similar prior experience

• Ability to operate effectively in a team oriented and fast-paced environment

• Ability to supervise multiple projects at the same time and coordinate their timely completion

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Ability to tactfully interact with clients, the general public and fellow employees

• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in demanding situations

• Ability to adapt to changing demands under specific time constraints

• Perform detail oriented work

Work Conditions

• Shifts will consist of a variety of all 3 shifts -- including weekend and holidays

• Lift 50 pounds unaided

• Stand, walk and climb stairs for extended periods of time

You must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
