Cylinder Service Technician Â

Job Purpose
The Service Technicians are the front line technicians to all our customers and prospects in a territory handling the "Rapid Exchange" program. In this role, you will manage the company gas sourcing through the cylinder exchange program by picking up/dropping off cylinders filled with refrigerant gas at customer locations via a box truck and consolidating refrigerants into available cylinders. This will also require performing recovery services as needed and requested by the customer while on site. Reports to Business Development Leader.Â
Key Responsibilities
Service customers by providing Rapid Exchange Services and job site recovery services as needed.
Assist the company sourcing of gas by looking for additional gas to bring back to the company for reclamation or destruction purposes.
Grow the Rapid Exchange program through marketing and following up on customer leads.Â
Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
Pick up, deliver and exchange multiple sizes of refrigerant cylinders.
Empty refrigerant cylinders consolidate refrigerants into half-ton cylinders and assist with upcoming refrigerant recovery projects.
Complete accurate reports.
Prepare and properly label cylinders for shipment.
Operate pallet jack & lift gate to load and unload shipments.
Prep, paint and repair cylinders as needed
Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to all whenever and wherever needed.
Submit daily work order submission and weekly expense reporting
Care for your assigned vehicle by keeping it in good condition and maintained according to the vehicle manual.
Work Safely
Follow all EPA regulations
Other duties as reasonably assigned.
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be at least 25 years old
Must be able to lift at least 75# +
Knowledge of the HVAC Industry preferred
Experience handling Refrigerant/Recovery of HVAC gases preferred.
EPA 608 License Preferred and/or ability to obtain required
Hazmat Certification preferred and/or ability to obtain required
Must have or be able to obtain CDL
Exceptional communications skills
Excellent reading, writing and math skills.
Demonstrate resiliency and persistence
Ability to conduct daily duties in a courteous and professional manner
