What You Will Be Doing:Maintain attorney calendars and schedules; working with court staff to obtain hearing dates and trial schedules Draft documents such as pleadings, discovery demands and correspondence Prepare responsible production documents to discovery or subpoena requests Electronically file/e-service of pleadings and discovery Research expert witnesses utilizing WestlawSummarize records and reports such as depositions, medical records, internal documents and incoming discoveryObtain, review and analyze documents, including medical recordsPrepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness filesCompile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries and databasesWhat the Law Firm is Looking For In the Candidate:Experience as a litigation paralegal: at least 3 years handling the tasks above requiredDefense side litigation experience preferred Ability to work with minimal supervision Position Details:Start date: Upon successful completion of interviewExpected Schedule: 40 hours a week with minimal overtime as neededSalary: $60k-$75k DOE Benefits include: competitive salary, benefits and work/life balance Location: San Antonio, TXWhy you should apply:Appreciation of work/life balanceGrowth potentialTransportation allowance, great medical, dental, vision and 401KIf you have a friend who is interested in our job opportunity, refer them to us and you could earn a bonus of up to $500!
