Use your editorial and marketing skills managing the back office of San Antonio's most established city magazine.
This is a task-intensive position requiring basic and advanced computer skills--familiarity with graphic/print/display advertising design, data base maintenance and business communications required daily. Responsible for coordinating the work of writers, editors, salespeople and outside vendors, as well as working with the publisher on a daily, full-time basis. Training on-the-job will be provided but you should have some experience with graphic design/advertising/print production and/or using contact management & communications software (Microsoft Office Network/PC Desktop with about three application programs) that you will be required to do tasks on an every-day basis.
The job is deadline driven and you must be well-organized and not a procrastinator. You will have opportunities to be a starter--but you must be a finisher.
Experience in print publishing, graphic design, writing, editing, customer communication and basic accounting are all pluses. Candidates must be comfortable working with a variety of common computer programs and willing / able to learn new programs & applications.
In addition to a base salary, you will be paid bonuses weekly on as many as five weekly/monthly/quarterly revenue streams over which you will have some management control.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Entry-level candidates with the appropriate computer skills and can-do attitude will be considered. The position offers no health benefits
Requirements:
Fundamental business experience and desire to advance
Some Experience with print advertising, MS Office and contact management programs on PC platforms
Education:
At least two years of college education or equivalent experience is preferred.
