Job Summary:

Responsible for the sales and procurement of contracts with area businesses in the community for Unicorn Center under the guidance and supervision of the Unicorn Center Director. 14(c) Unicorn Center Workshop. Has established business relationships; will be seeking new business relationships. Salary: base salary and commission.

Essential Job Duties:

Outside sales.

• Conducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. Responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated contracts when necessary.

Contract Procurement.

• Actively pursue contractual relationships with area business community.

• Coordinate all contractual arrangements and maintains ongoing contracts with local business community.

• Select contracts appropriate to diverse skill levels of individuals at Unicorn.

• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, and positive public relations with all contacts within the community and elsewhere.

• Determine appropriate bid prices by preparing necessary time studies and evaluation of production and delivery costs.

• Ensure all contracts are competitively priced and fiscally sound in accordance with the Department of Labor Standards.

• Maintains job numbers and individual job sheets with appropriate time studies attached.

• Completes prevailing wage study once a year for all workshop activities.

Contract Maintenance.

• Assume responsibility for all contracts.

• Prepare production sheets by breaking down task and assigning pay rates to identified steps.

• Demonstrate appropriate procedure for each step of acquired contract to production manager.

• Coordinate particulars of contracts with workshop manager, i.e., amounts ordered.

• Coordinate assignments of staff with workshop manager.

• Coordinate shared contracts with other workshops and or businesses including billing, collection, and delivery of finished products.

• Make necessary arrangements for extension of workshop hours.

• Completion and recording of required time studies for piece rate contract.

• Prepare shipping lists for deliveries of all products.

• Ensure delivery of all products and contractual materials to customers.

• Work flexible hours as needed, i.e., evenings, weekends.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field; Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience preferred. Hands-on, working knowledge of Microsoft software, i.e., Word, Excel; and office equipment, i.e., copy and fax machine. Valid Texas DL, clear driving record.

Shift: M-F 8a-5p, variable shift; Exempt
