Shade Tree Express is an umbrella company helping owner operators in the transportation industry. Our office is located in Cibolo, TX (please take your drive time into consideration before you apply)
*Position will be on an hourly basis as a contract W-9/1099
Shade Tree Express is looking for an intelligent problem solver with the following skills to be part of our dispatch team:
- Ability to problem solve. (needed when looking for freight opportunities)
Example: A farmer goes to the market and buys 3 things, a coyote, a rabbit, and a head of lettuce. On his way home he must cross a river, however there is only enough room in his boat for 1 item and himself. If he takes the lettuce the the coyote will eat the rabbit but if he takes the coyote the rabbit will eat the lettuce. How does he get everything across the river without anything being eaten?
-Computer literate.
Can you create a PDF from Pages or Word? Do you know how to operate a Mac? Do you know how to create a formula with Excel or Numbers? Can you send email?, do you know what Cc and Bcc is?
-Ability to communicate & and speak english efficiently
This position requires frequent phone conversations and good communication skills
-Strong negotiating skills
If you go to a flea market can you effectively barter with a seller for a better deal?
-Attention to detail
It is critical that you be meticulous when entering numbers within the system or sending emails with attachments, one wrong number can cause huge problems.
* College education is a plus but not required
