Technical Support Specialist



NOTE: THIS IS HYBRID ROLE & ONLY W2 CANDIDATES

Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship

Position: Technical Support Specialist (Job ID # CFNJP00042917)

Location: San Antonio TX (Hybrid Role - in office 3 days per month, remote for remaining days)

Duration: 12 months + Strong Possibility of Extension

Technical Skills

(Below required are not mandate but nice to have)
1. Databases SQL Server (SQL 2008/2012) (3+ years preferred)
a. Must be able to write advanced queries and analyze SQL data (i.e. Select and Join statements) within complex database structures.
b. SSIS (SQL Job) exposure/experience
c. SQL Reporting Services
2. OS knowledge (3+ Years preferred)
a. Server 2008 /Server 2012/ Windows 7
b. Windows Services
c. IIS and Web Applications
d. Running Performance Counters
e. Basic Understanding of Group Policies
f. Security Permissions
3. Networking topology (2+ years preferred)
a. DNS
b. DHCP
c. LAN/WAN
d. Telnet
e. Ports (Networking/OS)
4. Understanding of XML language (1+ years)
5. Ability to review application and OS logs (2+ years)
6. Active Directory experience or exposure (1+years)
7. VMware experience or exposure (1+ years)
8. Wireshark (1+ Years)

Soft Skills

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems
2. Excellent time management and multitasking skills
3. Strong personal commitment to quality, customer service, and patient safety
4. Ability to understand and communicate complex technical systems to a non-technical audience
5. Works well in a team environment
6. Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor when handling complex user issues and high-pressure situations

Education
The ideal candidate is a college graduate with a Computer Science degree or equivalent.

Preferred Certifications
CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCTS, MCSE
