Title: Construction Quality Control Manager

Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications.

Summary:

Bethel Builders is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager for Design-Build infrastructure projects. The CQC Manager will be responsible for creating, implementing, and administering the QC program. Position will ensure compliance with applicable contract documents, government regulations, and other company requirements. The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge and understanding of DOD/NAVFAC/USACE construction and USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements with experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability. The candidate must be able to supervise and coordinate multiple QC specialists. Must be physically able to access the job site, climb ladders, and work around equipment and workers in a safe manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and administer the QC Plan following the three phases of control.

• Ensure all project personnel and subcontractors understand and comply with the QC requirements.

• Certify that all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements.

• Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process.

• Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation.

• Inspect and evaluate the adequacy of work performed by craft, staff, and subcontractors; Identify non-conformities, analyze root causes, and take corrective measures.

• Coordinate QC activities with Project Manager and Superintendent.

• Maintain daily paperwork such as reports, log updates, and email.

• Understand and apply federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Manage and monitor required testing.

• Conduct pre-final/final inspections; establish punch list; and, ensure all deficiencies are corrected.

• Conduct and/or attend QC meetings.

• Maintain and submit as-builts.

• Prepare documentation for each definable feature of work in their area of responsibility; Distribute written inspection/test results to appropriate personnel/agencies.

Essential Skills, Abilities, and Education:

• A graduate of a four year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science and 2-4 years of combined experience in the following positions: Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Manager and/or Inspector.

• Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors, OSHA 10, and First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

• Project requires US Citizenship and ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.

• Intermediate skill in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.

• Ability to successfully pass background/security checks.
