Experience with Adobe InDesign.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Director for Alumni Relations is responsible for creating, maintaining and strengthening alumni engagement with the Alumni Association, and Texas State University, in a meaningful way through building and enhancing relationships with alumni, promoting alumni participation in key events and programs, and recruiting and stewarding alumni volunteers.This position is responsible for the planning and execution of high level alumni events within Texas and in assigned states/cities, and providing individual outreach to key groups of alumni, with a focus on alumni under the age of 40.The position reports to the Director of Alumni Relations who also serves as the Executive Director of the Texas State Alumni Association. The Office of Alumni Relations supports the Texas State Alumni Association by working collaboratively with a volunteer Board of Directors.The Office of Alumni Relations is in the Division of University Advancement which encompasses Development, Advancement Services, Corporate Relations, University Communications and Media Services, and Alumni Relations.Job Duties Coordinate and implement meaningful, high-profile, alumni regional events within Texas and in assigned states/cities. Build relationships with alumni via individual outreach and communications. Identify and recruit alumni for volunteer positions within the University and Alumni Association. Enhance College and Departmental collaborations related to broadening alumni engagement. Manage regional networks of alumni in assigned regions and provide targeted outreach to alumni in order to encourage volunteer participation and event attendance. Provide individual outreach to engage new alumni with a focus on alumni under 40. Serve as liaison with UA Communications Specialist. Serve as liaison with Advancement Services Coordinator. Provide assistance with key alumni events and programs. Work with the director to understand and implement organization’s priorities and goals.
