You will lead the development and execution of the Least Waste Way project plan, including direct Operations leadership responsibility of incoming production processes.In addition, you will use your technical expertise in project management, deep knowledge and understanding of the Collins Aerospace Work Transfer Passport process, and demonstrate leadership in a Lean manufacturing environment. Your strong analytical and communication skills will also be critical for maintaining visibility to project risks and performance for all stakeholders.Primary Responsibilities
Establishment of the work transition plan with stakeholder buy-in
Execution of the activities to successfully transfer the work on-schedule and within budget
Establish regular project status reviews and updates to identify and mitigate project risks with project stakeholders
Develop and manage the inventory transition plan to ensure continued supply of products for customers during the transition
Ensure compliance of technical and regulatory requirements including approvals, certification and qualification of the products in the new location
Ensure demonstrated production capability prior to close-out of project milestones
Oversee manufacturing operations and manage team of highly skilled production employees to achieve business objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, & Safety
Implement principles of Lean manufacturing with focus on the fundamentals of TAKT time, Standard Work and One-Piece flow
Other responsibilities include work schedule/assignments and manpower planning, auditing, labor review and approval, and maintaining compliance in areas such as tool equipment calibration, AMQAS, withhold tags, corrective action and CPI/SPC. Experience & Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related disciplines and 5 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree in Business, Engineering or related disciplines and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional departments of Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management.
Manufacturing experience and technical understanding of manufacturing processes
Excellent data management and analytic skills
Must have strong communication skills and be process-oriented and results driven
Working knowledge of Lean & Continuous Improvement principles
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead project and manufacturing teams
Must uphold and Promote UTC Values of Trust, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, & Respect
Must possess and demonstrate highest ethical standards
Proficient with MS Office Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Must be a US Person Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of export/ITC regulations and policies
Knowledge of statistical process control
Aerospace Industry experience
Proficient with SAP
