Zelicks Bar Manager Job Description
General Purpose:
The purpose of the bar manager is to help ensure that Zelicks is operating at maximum efficiency while guiding our staff, planning and executing events to maximize revenue, and providing the highest level of guest satisfaction while upholding Zelicks core values.
At the core we are a neighborhood gathering place where people come to unwind after work or enjoy their weekend. Zelicks remains one of the top grossing bars in San Marcos because of our culture; staff and management team all working towards our number one core value Its all about the guestÂ. We are seeking an individual with a desire to learn and who is willing to work hard to be a part of a successful business.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assisting the management team in planning, executing, and promoting events to help build the Zelicks brand and increase overall revenue for the bar
General ordering of products
Detailed receiving of delivered items
Mentoring current employees to help them reach their maximum potential
Assist in identifying, interviewing, and selecting the necessary staff for our team.
Develop our training program and educational pieces for the staff
Assist in daily operational duties, which may include the following
o Performing general maintenance needs
o Ordering supplies
o Placing and receiving orders
o Working with vendors that do business with Zelicks
o Assisting GM with inventory of products
o Handling guest concerns
o Creating relationships with our guests and community members
Assisting with general accounting
Monitor proper ringing of products
Helping manage FOCUS (POS)
Ensuring that our staff serve responsibly
Product and menu development, to include introducing new cocktail and helping to revise our menu seasonally
Managing staff adherence to company policies
Establish service and quality standards for the team and make sure the staff are meeting those standards
Monitor general cleanliness and hygiene of the bar
Ensure we are in compliance with fire, health, safety, and health department standards and regulations
Adhere to Zelicks cash handling and cash management policies
Organize promotional events or activities at the bar
Skills and Experience
Proficiency in Point of Sale systems
Strong organizational skills
Effective communicator
Acute attention to detail
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Maintenance and handyman / woman skills
College diploma preferred
21+ Years of age
Previous bartending experience
Knowledge of human resource management practices
1+ years in bar and/ or restaurant management
