This position requires the maintaining of an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public; providing equipment and furniture arrangements for meetings, classroom activities and events; and minimizing property damage, loss and facility structure.
Position requires ability to perform multiple, not-technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment, common tools, landscaping equipment, etc.; and adhering to safety practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent;
At least one year of experience in custodian field;
Must be able to pass a background check and satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment;
Have a clean driving record and license (Department of Public Safety);
Ability to adjust to new job responsibilities & tasks as assigned and work unsupervised;
Work Schedule: This position will serve as a substitute for staff that work the following shifts, 7:30 am â 4:30 pm, 4:30 â 8:30 pm, 6 â 10 pm Monday through Friday and occasional weekends.
Working Conditions:
Work inside and outside; prolonged standing and walking; lifting and carrying; some organization local travel as assigned. Lift/move approximately 30 â 50 pounds. Other physical activities may be required.
Additional Skills: be able to promote teamwork and interaction with fellow staff members, maintain personal appearance and hygiene.
