The Electrician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to design, develop, configure and maintain electrical systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, integrity, quality and sustainability.
You will:
-Measure, cut, bend, thread, etc. and install wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems and other wire raceway systems.
-Feed to, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switch gear, receptacles, switches, etc.
-Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
-Troubleshoot equipment electrical systems and control circuits and build control panels from drawings.
-Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams showing the location of wiring and electrical systems.
-Maintains electrical systems by performing routine maintenance
-Maintains emergency and routine electrical power distribution networks by discovering, restoring and repairing faulty or inoperative facility systems
-Develops working plan by defining material requirements and identifying job requirements
-Complies with federal, state and local building codes by adhering to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
-Provide technical support to operations and maintenance including troubleshooting, component specification and research and design for component upgrades/replacement including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production lines.
-Skilled use of a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, precision measurement instrumentation and material handling equipment in performing duties.
-Read and interpret equipment manuals, machine drawings, electrical drawings, blue prints, Process and -Instrumentation drawings and process flow schematics.
-Perform operational condition monitoring and diagnosis of machines and electrical systems, take immediate corrective action as appropriate, report findings promptly to department leadership and follow up with a work request on pending actions.
-Ensure good housekeeping by clearing work area in preparation for assigned repairs and clean up the area after repairs are completed.
-Ensure all work history data is captured thru site CMMS
-Ability to work in a team environment.

What You Offer Us:
-License/Certifications:
State of Texas Journeyman Electrical License
State of Texas Master Electrical License, preferred
Experience:
-4+ years of relevant experience; industrial skills with some PLC experience
-Experience with AC / DC motors and drives
-Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and control & automation systems
-Knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance practices
-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches.
-Ability to verbally communicate technical information
