Based from our new offices in Taylor, Texas, preferably bringing English | Spanish bi-lingual skills, you are a driven and resourceful Technical Sales Engineer with a proven ability to solve problems and think on your feet.Â You will collaborate cross-functionally with Noren leadership in Sales, Engineering and Operations in order to ensure each custom thermal solution meets the customerâs specifications and requirements. In addition, you will take ownership for responding to customer pricing quotations to meet sales goals and provide assistance.Â
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Proactive coordination with the Applications Engineer in order to provide customers with best solutions proposal
Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information)
Attending and participating in trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Follows up with customers on a daily basis and negotiates pricing on all quotations to procure new business
Plan effective sales travel, coordinate with Sales Manager, and create desire through presentations, trade event participation, and direct communication with prospects and customers.
Write up trip reports which include market intelligence and strategies.
Maintain records of customer communication through company CRM system (Globalshop) including project status, budgets, and utility happenings affecting product sales
Develop rolling sales forecasts based on industry knowledge
Documents and lists all pricing quotations for manager review and follow-up
Assists in analyzing the marketplace and collaborate on sales strategies to increase market share
Submits sales literature and product technical information to the customer or representative as required
Provides product technical assistance for all customers as requested
Maintain knowledge of competitor products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies
Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to sales goals
Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up
The ideal candidate will demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. As well, this candidate will bring strong communication abilities along with a high level of personal initiative without needing constant supervision. Job Requirements Skills and Abilities
Excellent writing skills and organization required.
The ability to effectively present information to top management, industry groups, and engineers.
High order of analytical, interpretative, and/or constructive thinking in varied situations
Bi-Lingual language preferred for our Latin America customers
Must be able to obtain International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance
Candidate must be gregarious, confident, entrepreneurial, personable, energetic, and helpful.
Ability to find opportunity and create alliances, be quick thinking, and have the ability to respond to changing circumstances.
Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions;
Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements
Education and Experience:
3-5 years minimum experience successfully selling technical products in the manufacturing industry.
Technical/engineering background preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills
Microsoft Office proficiency (Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience such as Salesforce.com, Sage or GlobalShop
