Job Title: Transportation Office Admin

Department: Transportation

Reports To: Transportation Manager

Overview:

To handle all data entry to include, but not limited to, bills of ladding, FTS or variant, spreadsheets, etc.; to assist in calling in pickups, QC of O/B shipments and data gathering. This position is responsible for evaluating and correcting outbound non-compliant shipments for all 3PL customers. Filing and organization.

Essential Functions:

Freight bill approvals

Liaison with carriers to procure domestic and international freight quotes and resolve discrepancies as required.

Heavy data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Assist in the generation of transportation related reports and coordinate information between departments.

Using provided reports and tools, track all inbound orders from 3PL customers and help coordinate priorities for picking, compliance and shipping.

Documenting all outbound truck level shipments

Filing and office organization

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

Proficient in Excel, and Word.

Knowledge of SQL preferred

Knowledge about freight logistics helpful

Knowledge of Accounting helpful

Must be able to work shifts outside of standard operating hours. Position has seasonal needs for overtime with evening and weekend availability a must; as needed.
