The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Digital Transformation Quality Specialist to join the Digital Transformation Quality group located at one of our major Boeing sites (Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Everett, WA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Berkeley, MO; North Charleston, SC; Huntington Beach, CA; Seal Beach, CA; Long Beach, CA; El Segundo, CA; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Huntsville, TX; Plano, TX; San Antonio, TX; Herndon, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Ridley Park, PA; Chicago, IL)

The Digital Transformation Quality Specialist will develop future state business processes and computing applications to transform the way Quality performs work. The individual will perform process and application research with minimal direction, describe results in detailed document or summarized presentations, and organize them into features and user stories for Information Technology consumption. To be successful in this role, the individual should be agile, self-directed, and have great communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approval.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
  • Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.


This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity but does prefer applicants to live near one of the listed work locations. This position will be involved in future onsite activities periodically to meet implementation requirements.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Knowledge of Understanding Statistical Process Control (SPC) applications
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Experience performing Quality Inspection within an Aerospace environment
  • Experience writing or updating PRO and/or BPI


Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: USD 59,850 - 111,150
