Candidate can be remote but best to be in Texas based on the potential of having to come to the office IF required. Initial contract will be for 12 months starting at the end of April 2022.

• About the Application Developer position
• We are looking for an Application Developer who will design and code functional programs and applications, producing fully functional Guidewire software customizations according to requirements - specifically expertise with ClaimCenter. You will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision.
• You should possess excellent knowledge of the Guidewire platform. We also expect you to have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.
• Application Developer responsibilities are:
• Efficiently translate client requirements into application features
• Prepare creative prototypes according to specifications
• Work together with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for application customizations
• Create high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Organize unit and integration testing before launch
• Organize functional and nonfunctional testing and perform troubleshooting and debugging
• Review existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
• Prepare technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

Application Developer requirements are:
5+ years in Guidewire

Strong Guidewire Insurance Suite experience, specifically expertise with ClaimCenter.
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability with GOSU (or Java) programming
Ability to assess, architect, and design new ClaimCenter integrations
Proven experience with the design, development, modification, and deployment of software using Agile methodology, source version control, and release management tools.
Ability to express complex technical concepts in terms less technical people can understand.
Previous experience with ClaimCenter version upgrades, automated testing concepts and tools (GUnit, Selenium, etc.),
Guidewire certifications are considered a plus
Strong communication, teamwork and time-management skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
