Job Description

Cyber security is an integral part of our SVB culture, and as a growing financial institution, it's vital that we all play our part in keeping customers' data secure. Identity and Access Management/Data Protection are foundational pillars of SVBs security program, supporting the scale and reliability needed for the continued growth of our customer base while keeping pace with evolving security and adversarial landscape. The Head of Identity and Access Management/ Data Protection will be responsible for establishing and executing IAM/Data Protection strategy, program directives, policy development, and policy enforcement. We will arm you with the very best tools and technology so that you can deliver top notch results. As the Head of IAM/Data Protection you will get to work with people from a range of disciplines, and colleagues and clients at every level.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategy and roadmap for the Identity and Access Management program focused on identity management and lifecycle, privileged access, access governance, role based, authorization, authentication and next generation access controls, access delegation, and certificate lifecycle management
• Provide coaching, guidance, and direction on IAM projects, ensuring overall fit with architecture direction
• Establish and produce key performance metrics that provide visibility into the performance of IAM operations and the effectiveness of IAM controls
• Develop a data protection strategy and roadmap with key stakeholders across the organization
• Build and manage a highly effective Data Protection program, ensuring adoption of security policies and procedures; all known data protection incidents are investigated and driven to resolution in a timely manner
• Lead a team of IAM engineers, governance analyst, and data protection SMEs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military and/or professional experience
• 10+ years hands-on experience in architecture, design and deployment of industry leading identity and access solutions across an enterprise, preferably in a hybrid on-premises, multi-cloud and SaaS environment
• Experience with best-practice and implementation frameworks for zero trust, SSO, MFA, adaptive and risk-based authentication, secrets management, role/attribute/policy-based access controls, and cloud native identity and access solutions
• Analytical thinker with excellent abstract problem-solving skills, able to balance strategic plans with short-term tactical actions and iterative improvements

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or similar Engineering disciplines
• Experience with published standards, guidance, best practices, profiles, and frameworks related to IAM and cyber security and practical implementation in an enterprise (NIST, ISO, SANS CIS Critical Security Controls)
• Understanding of privacy program domain topics such as data inventory, data subject rights, consent and preference management, privacy assessments, incident response, etc.
• Understanding of cybersecurity domain topics such as data encryption, network architecture, vulnerability management, access controls, logging and monitoring, etc., particularly as they relate to software development and system integration
• Certifications in one or more of the following: CIPP, CISSP, CPDSE, CIPT, Agile/Scrum Master
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, MS Azure, GCP; certification a plus
• Experience with identity standards and protocols including SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM
