I am looking for help in my remodeling business. 3 to 5 yrs experience in construction, home repairs or similar. Must be reliable and trustworthy, able to follow directions and good common sense. I may go through 20 people before finding one, it's not that I am that picky it is because a lot of people think this is a job for anyone so they aren't completely honest about their work experience.
I can tell very quickly if someone has exaggerated about their experience, if you are honest and can do what you say, I will raise your pay within a week, you have nothing to worry about. I am not looking for slave labor. I am just sick and tired of paying $15, $16 or $17 per hr for people who think this is a game of "Let's see who can trick him into thinking I have more experience". I look at it this way - If someone cannot stick out a few days of making $12 and give ME a chance to see if they are truthful then why should I give them a chance to prove it?
