If you are someone who thrives on the creative process, problem solving, and building innovative solutions, then Dell Digital is the environment for you.As a technical writer on our digital transformation team, you will work with internal and external organizations to develop, plan and write/edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Ensures that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material. Partners with different internal stakeholders to complete various documentation needs for the various lines of business.Responsibilities:The technical writer applies knowledge, skill, and experience to make technical documentation meaningful and accessible to all stakeholders and end users. At Dell, typical daily work includes collaborating with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions. You will incorporate photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding. Standardizing content across platforms and media as well as gathering usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers is also a critical function of this role.Our team focuses on digital experiences and content optimization to achieve our company’s and internal stakeholders’ business goals. We assure delivery of successful outcomes through testing, conduct an analysis of qualitative and quantitative research, and continuous iteration. We also collaborate with our partners to improve processes and to help them deeply engage with data-driven insights based on research, best practices, and competitive analysis.Desired Qualifications:Undergraduate degree and 8 years relevant experience

Experience working on educational/learning platforms

Experience to Include:A combination of education and experience necessary to show diverse work samples that indicate the applicant understands communications and content strategy deeply enough to recommend how to achieve business goals for successful user experiences. Deliverables can vary and include, but are not limited to, project and content plans, task/gap analyses, content audits, content models, KPI/metrics criteria definition, SEO mapping and alignment, localization and translation, content mapping and outlines, customer research, narrative design and storytelling, client workshops and presentations, and support for prototype development and usability testing.

Experience collaborating in a digital product model: We discover, define, concept, design, develop, deliver, and iterate products that end users find relevant and actionable.

A solutions-oriented approach to sharing subject matter expertise, knowledge, research results, and best practices across teams and channels in real-world circumstances of both ambiguity and technological or creative constraints.

Strongly prefer experience with educational/learning platforms, the principles of design thinking, agile, and/or lean, and working across functions in a global, matrixed organization.

History of conducting, or partnering with third parties to conduct, qualitative and quantitative research and analyzing results to guide continuous improvements in digital user experiences and products.
