This 300+ bed short term acute care facility is a part of a larger healthcare system in the State of Texas, and offers a range of services including a 24-hour emergency department, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, diagnostic imaging and radiology, advanced cardiovascular care, wound care services, as well as intensive care. This facility is a designated Trauma Center and is accredited by the DNV. Additionally, this hospital is a recognized teaching facility and is affiliated with a local university.
The Infection Prevention Nurse will work closely with the Director of Quality and the Senior Director of Infection Control in order to develop, implement, and manage the Infection Prevention and Control program for the entire facility. The Infection Prevention RN will monitor and assist staff with infection control policies and procedures, provide ongoing education, and will on-board new staff to current infection prevention practices. The Infection Prevention Nurse will be responsible for reviewing quality control measures and risk management data, as well as ensuring survey readiness, and gathering and reporting data to the Infection Prevention Committee.
This facility is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention nurse leader with his/her BSN, as well as CIC Certification (Certification in Infection Prevention and Control). Clinical management experience is also preferred.
